just wondeing if you could tell me abit about the insulin resistance diet and give me a sample menu as i have pcos go diagnosed 10 years ago and need to lose weight badly im 13st 5lbs and need to lose about 2 st so i can carry on with my ivf its my last go and need to put everything into it so i would really like o start this diet. | |

Hey Ladies,
I'm back! I hit my second mini goal on my Birthday!! Hurray! 47lbs GONE! (plus lots of inches!) I have in my profile how I did it  and I posted earlier on too!
I am too excited and can't wait to get to my 50 but I am so close and just wanted to post.
I am not sure if I want to do before and after pics....I am still not that comfortable with my body. But I was thinking when I hit my 50, I think I will.
I would also like to be added to the list in the beginning of this thread if that's cool? I would really appreciate it!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to say your stories are inspirational and I hope to post my weight loss success story on here once I have finally achieved my goal! 
I had a nice little pick me up this morning though; my neighbor said to me "You are getting skinny, you used to be thick. (interestingly enough he made this comment as if me getting skinny was a bad thing! I guess he likes/liked the fuller curves! lol) That just made my day!  Also I tried on my size 8 calvin klein pants and they fit perfectly! 6 months ago they were WAY too tight and my PCOS belly was causing major muffin top! Now there is no tightness or bulging, just a loose fit. I am amazed! All those miles on the treadmill and bike are paying off!

Awesome to hear! I love when the tight pants fit...then get big!!!...only problem is then is if you don't have the money to go shopping for new ones! lol!

Any recommendations for IR books? I am failing in my pursuity of a diet. I think having a book and reading the many options for foods it may be easier. If you dont mind sharing a typical day or two on the IR diet:-)
