Does everyone else who is overweight go through the same things? All I do is look at every other girl and say I wish I had that body or that body, ect.... | i do that a lot. i pick myself apart too. losing weight isnt enough for me anymore. now i want a nose job, tummy tuck, brow lift, microderm abrasion to get rid of any freckles i have. im so disgusted by what i let myself become and now that ive started the weight loss battle it just isnt enough because ive convinced myself im disgusting.
its become even more obsessive where i was weighing myself up to 10 times a day. thankfully i have tried to keep that to a minimum. although everytime i use the bathroom i still find myself on that scale.
if you ever feel like talking feel free to contact me in email or aim or yahoo |

And I was perfectly happy with the arrangement. I didn't lose weight to be liked or even to start dating again. I lost weight because after years of trying, and suffering from years of cystic and hormonal problems, I was FINALLY diagnosed with PCOS, and am currently under treatment.
Now, everyone wants to chat or be my friend. I feel like I am standing outside myself watching people treat me MUCH nicer than even a year ago. The strangest experiences are with the men, especially single men I work with. Where before they were professional or indifferent, they're all friendly and personal now. And I'm beginning to learn to behave differently.
It is so fascinating. Obviously, I'm not the only one who experiences this.
I wonder: is there a psychologist or sociologist who has described this behavior and can put it to practical use for those of us going through it?
I mean, I've spent most of my adult life shy and ignored. How do I adjust? |
ive had the same happen to me. made me realize how much i love my boyfriend and how shallow the rest of the world is. i lost weight to make myself happy. nobody else! |

I've been so busy with work I haven't been able to keep up with the cysters. To answer your questions: Yes and No.
Other BP meds didn't work for me, but Spiro has been very effective. So effective that I have low BP issues like dizziness. I haven't had to deal with palps, but oddly enough the Spiro has been ineffective with my testosterone levels. And now I'm losing my thick head of hair.
It's weird how the medications affect us differently.

Thanks for your answer!

Points: 15,699.37 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 15,699.37 | Vanessa... I'd like to lose another 30-35lbs. That would bring me to 120something. I am short, only 5' 1/2" so its a realistic goal for me! But... at the same time, I don't want to be too "skinny"... I love my booty and curves! So, I'm just going to keep losing until I'm happy How is your weight loss going?! Looks like you' re soooo close to goal

I love curves too and am happy to have them- except in the booty area... Even at 245 somehow my butt was flat. At least from the front I've got them.

My Mood: Points: 2,054.80 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,054.80 | Wow, everyone is such an inspiration! I am at my heaviest ever....235 lbs. I was 125 when I got married 13 years ago...and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't feel sorry for my DH...this isn't what he married!!!
Well, I finally realized that I need to take control of my health, and am headed down the right path! I haven't started to "diet" yet, because I want to see my bloodwork results (I have a feeling there are some insulin issues, combined with not enough thyroid meds, but we'll see) but I have simply started watching portion control.
Hope to join some of you cysters soon on the path to a skinnier me!
