i'm a little more than halfway to my goal. i was afraid of posting b/c i thought maybe i'd jinx myself or something. but, meh, hard work won't go away just b/c i'm posting!
as i get closer to my goal, i know i will approach plateaus in the weight loss so it's probably even MORE important to post just to stay motivated and persevere.
i've basically been doing IR diet. but i'm REALLY staying away from the "bad" carbs. i'll have a piece of bread maybe once a week. mostly my carbs come from veggies, nuts, and dairy.

Im not sure if my results thus far are typical or not .. but as to date i've lost 19 lbs .. and Im feeling amazing this is the first time ever ive lost weight with such ease .. Points: 340.67 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 340.67 | Hi all! I've lurked off and on, but after gaining 10 pounds this last cycle (that is now at 60 days and still AWOL) my doc gave me a nice push to "Get on your Met and STAY on it this time, whydoncha?" I thought "where better to get some help staying on my meds than the SoulCysters?"
So, I'm inspired to get on it and stay on it. I will say, I'm not at all interested in talking about diets, but I'd love to hear from folks who got active, ate normally and lost weight because the Met. finally got their metabolism up to snuff. Without met, I can eat 1200 calories and sweat 30 minutes a day and see next to no results.
I've gotten out of the people manufacturing business, but I'd sure like to have regular periods, less facial hair, less acne and have a stable weight (even if it's higher than what is culturally defined as "attractive"). Stable would be nice, though... I'd love to buy a wardrobe and have it fit me for a while! LOL! |

Points: 409.72 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 409.72 | 37 Pounds So Far My weight went up by more than 100#'s the summer I was 15. That weight held steady for almost ten years, but then last year it started going up again. The first time I gained weight, I was suddenly too out of shape to enjoy any of my favorite activities and I lost my confidence. It took fully seven years to get my life back and I still hadn't gotten my figure back. So last Vday when I hit 249, I refused to reach 250. My doctor gave me glucophage and Byetta, and I've been hitting the gym hard. So far I've lost 37 pounds in 9 months.

Points: 8,789.19 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 8,789.19 | Hi everyone,
I've been lurking around on the boards for a while and have always found the weight loss success stories so inspiring. Last year I resolved to lose weight, ordered some Nutrisystem and started some exercise and have lost over 80 pounds in the last year (I'd lost a few before then) - I've got about 9 pounds to go to my goal. Here's a photo - before on the left and now on the right. It's cliche to say, but if I can do it, anyone totally can. I'd always been overweight and currently weigh less than I did in 6th grade....crazy, eh? https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/gressick...g?uniq=-joyf9g
Best of luck to everyone - keep up the great work!!
