Welcome to SC! I'm really sorry that you had to start out with a crappy doctor. IMO some doctors should have their licenses taken away just because of the way they treat their patients.
Metformin will help you ovulate and help regulate your cycles so you are going to want to us a back up until you can go on BC. Metformin also helps a lot of women lose weight so that is another bonus.
I had my gallbladder removed in 2002. I had a terrible

attach one night and then a few days later they removed it because I had a lot of gallstones. Now they do it laproscopicly so you should heal much faster than the old way. I was moving around after about two days and fully recovered after about a week, although my stomach is all messed up since.
