I don't know how to classify myself. I have large breasts, but a fairly slim upper build, then then I have a tummy/thighs/butt. When I was skinnier, I was definitely more pear-shaped.

I also have an hour glass figure, but not a perfect one!! :-(( When I gain weight it tends to go to my butt.

Hmmm...I am a thin Cyster, however I have to sort of work at it. I think I am a pear shape. I have "junk in my trunk" and a smaller waist. When I gain weight, it does go to my butt and thighs.
It's funny how most of the apples said they wish they were pears and I always wished I was an apple! We always want what we don't have! LOL!

I voted apple but I've always described myself as a potato - ya know, kinda lumpy and cylindrical. Best way to describe me.
I have broad shoulders and a big chest but no butt and no hips. I buy pants to fit me but they're so baggy at my hips and butt! I wish clothes-makers would realize that just because I'm fat doesn't mean I have a big booty! I wish I did.
I think it's more socially acceptable to have big hips and a booty than it is to have a big stomach - especially after the era of J-Lo. I'd like to be a pear.

I think I would classify myself as hourglass shape.. a short, fat hourglass.  Not much I can do about the short part, but I'm working on the fat part!

I have an hourglass figure with broad shoulders (got those from my dad ...) and big hips and thighs, and a butt that matches the two. I do have a tummy too, but people generally say I have a good, proportional figure despite my BMI that says I am obese.

Apple shaped here. I have a huge stomach and no chest to boot. If you think having no butt(or too big of a butt) is a problem when buying plus size clothes you should try buying stuff when you have no chest. A lot of cute tops and dresses have A LOT of room in the chest because they think fat=big boobs. I'm probably the only one with this problem!! | |

Aimee, I have the opposite problem: I'm an apple but my boobs are big. So I can't find shirts that fit my chest without being tent-y around my waist. Forget button-up shirts! I love the look but either it's tight on the boobs (button-popping, can't take a deep breath, tight) and fits the waist or fits the boobs and billowing at the waist (hello, I have no waist and really look like an inflated balloon).
I wear a lot of cotton shirts - yay for stretch.

Again another hour glass figure (minus a butt)-- Even at 320lbs I have maintained a proportionate figure. Clothing is a pain to find though as most of the plus sized shirts are too short!

My butt and thighs are not proportianate to my waist, so all my pants are so tight on my butt and thighs, and loose on my waist...It looks like I wear a bucket or something...I never find pants that fit me AT ALL! Trust me apples, being a pear sucks just as much! I'd trade in for an apple shape anyday now because I'm tired of it : (

You noticed that about plus sized shirts, too? They are always boxy and short with absolutely no shape, and the arms are always very short...I never understood that. Just because I'm overweight, doesn't mean my arms are as short as a 10 year olds! When will they get it....
