Question Peas having a contraceptive effect?

Hi Everyone,

I'm freaking out a little and am looking for info. I was reading the book, Getting Pregnant, last night and came across the section that discusses nutrition and diet. It said that peas have a natural anti-fertility component to them, such that you should avoid them when TTC. The reason I am freaking out is because I had a positive OPK last Monday (one week ago) and DH and I were busy BDing as much as possible through Thursday. . . but I had peas as a part of dinner three times last week. Did I just kill an opportunity?

I've been having a hard time finding any info on the internet about this. Any suggestions, thoughts or info? I feel a bit like a dolt for being so anxious about this but we've been trying for over two years now and every cycle it gets harder and harder to know we failed.

Thanks in advance!

Brionna

I've never heard of peas having any negative effect on fertility at all. I cannot imagine eating peas with dinner can harm fertility. You'd have to eat an awful lot of them!
