Default peeing...s/e?

Ok, so last week I started in Met ER and almost all of my s/e have disappeared...i.e. tummy troubles. But, the last day or so something weird has happened. I am peeing like crazy. I mean, like at least once every hour. Is this a s/e of the Met ER?

I think a lot of people pee more when the weather is colder. Some people don't notice it, but around our house we go all the time in the winter, lol.

Wow Katie, not sure if it is a side effect but I had the same concern the other day. I'm up at 5am and swear by noon I'd gone to the bathroom 20times and was dreading the rest of the day. I would catagorize myself as going alot before met but now on met...its crazy! More so that I haven't dropped one pound and I follow an IR diet, take 1500 met w/vitamins and exercise 5x/weeek but I've only been on met 1 month now.

There could be a connection. Diabetics have an increased amount of urine output.

Yes, I also go to the loo all the time. Even getting up in the night to go. Has your dr checked you for diabeties recently? That's what mine did for me.

I don't remember where I saw it, but I read that Metformin will increase your frequency to urinate. I've noticed a drastic increase when I upped to 2000mg, which is also when I switched from original to extended release.
