I know that there are a lot of other threads about pelvic pain and I think that I am in the wrong section. But I wanted to know has anyone ever felt pain by their ovaries and it worsens when you have to go to the bathroom. My other symptoms are I have been having spasms in the same area for about 4 months on and off, I have a lot of pelvic pressure. Please let me know if anyone has been through this. TIA

The pain got really bad when my bladder was full, on one side where my ovary was even became puffy and swollen. When I finally went to my gyn. I had one cyst nearly cutting off blood flow and another that was bleeding into my ovary that was the one that was causing me so much pain. Anyhow they put me on BCP and pain meds amd after about a month or so the pain went away. I would definately go to the Dr. and get it checke out you never know what might be going on in there. Good Luck and I hope you get to feeling better real soon. |

Her doc set her for a CAT scan and they found a cyst on each ovary the size of an orange! She was put on birth control pills and has been feeling much better.

Definately not a problem you want to let slide, since the ovaries can twist and cut off blood flow...you can lose an ovary that way. |

My Mood: Points: 21,963.53 Bank: 31,991.17 Total Points: 53,954.69 | Update and vent!!!!! This morning I had to go to the ER because I was having excrousating pelvic pain. They did a scan, sonogram and took blood. It turned out that I had a cysts that ruptured. They gave me 2 kinds of pain medications and nausea medication. I wanted to know does anyone know how to get rid of the cyst or is it something we just have to "deal" with? I feel like some of these doctors dont even try to help with the problem but just try and help the pain to go away. I want someone to treat the problem and just not the symptoms!!!

I hope you are feeling a lot better, and that your dr figures out everything soon. What happens when one of these cysts rupture, is it dangerous???

My Mood: Points: 8,933.20 Bank: 34,036.95 Total Points: 42,970.15 | Shauna, BLESS YOUR HEART! I am so sorry for the pain you are going through! I had constant excrutiating pain for about 5-6 months nonstop until I saw my RE & started taking Metformin. The pain was still rough at first(while cysts were rupturing) but then almost went away completely after my first week on the Met. You are taking a low dose of Met, is there any chance that increasing it may help you??? Are you seeing an Rep. Endocrinologist??? I found not much help at all until I went to a Reproductive Endocrinologist, my regular Endocrinologist couldn't even help - he had no idea what PCOS is!!! Seeing the right physician was the turning point in my constant ovary/back aches & pains - he finally believed me & knew what the problem was & how to fix it, NOT just how to treat the symptoms! Best wishes for you as you go through this difficult time! My heart goes out to you!

I hope your doing better now.

Points: 3,306.20 Bank: 6,828.44 Total Points: 10,134.64 | I too suffer from pelvic pain. Right now it's "unexplained." I'm taking a 10 day prescription of antibiotics to just make sure that I don't have a bacterial infection. I'm thinking that I have endo. As of last year's vag-ultrasound at another GYN, she was thinking that I might have developed endo, and/or possibly a fibroid too. We'll see. I go back in two weeks to the GYN.
Hang in there!

My Mood: Points: 21,963.53 Bank: 31,991.17 Total Points: 53,954.69 | Well I am actually not feeling 100%. I found out that I also had a bladder infection which I took antibiotics for. I still "feel" like something is wrong. My gyn said that I have no cyst on my ovaries and everything looked normal. I will be looking into adhesions and also a RE. Thank you ladies for that suggestion! If anyone knows of a good RE in the Atlanta, GA. area please let me know!!!!! TIA
