Does anyone suffer from significant pelvic pain? I don't read much about it, but mine is probably the reason I have been diagnosed. I had an ectopic pregnancy and laproscopy procedure about 8 years ago. About a year later I developed significant pain at the spot of the incision, left fallopian tube. the next year I had an exploratory laproscopy and some adhesions removed. After that, I was put on yasmin to help control the pain. It did somewhat. I also get pain injections to help every 3 months. This summer I stopped taking the yasmin. I wanted to see what it felt like to be off the pill. I need to see if I will ever feel well enough to be pregnant, or could I even? Then off yasmin, NO AF for 50 days. Many tests, felt horrible. Lots of pain. Then I was diagnosed with PCOS. 3:1 ratio and many cysts seen on ovaries. The pain has gotten significant worse. I am just wondering if PCOS could have caused any of my troubles or if it is just another problem I have. PLease advise if you ahve any info. I switched last month to low GI diet, vitex, many other suppliments and vitamins that were recommended. I am 31, 5'2" and weigh 119 lbs. Please help. I am feeling more miserable every day.

I have pretty bad pelvic pain but my doctor doesn't think it's related to the PCOS. It apparently is Myofascial Pain Syndrome in my groin area that radiates out and causes tremendous pain in my ovaries. I had this pain for four years before I was diagnosed with MPS, but I still feel like it has to be related to my PCOS.
Hello I am so sorry to hear of your pain. My pain is very severe too, but I have pain during the first 2 days of my cycle like stabbing pain in the area of my ovaries, with metformin, thyroid meds and natural progesterone cream that my Endocrinologist gave me I have a period.
I had a similar problem where I just would have a period after getting of Yasmin. It took a look of hard work on my part and the right combination of things for me to have a period. My doctor is a Holistic endocrinologist and tested all my hormone levels, and saw that I have low progesterone and since I have been on the cream, my cycles are much more regular. It may be worth it to make sure all your hormones are in order.
He also put me on Calcium D glutarate that eliminates excess estrogen from the body and keeps you from gaining that "water weight" in your belly during your period.
For the pelvic pain I take Postel- that works SO WELLLL
feel free to contact me if you have questions...

I have pain 3 days a month, mostly my left. So bad last year , on base nurse checked me for an STD because I was in pain how degrading, lol. Didn't have an STD!(Hubby and I have been together 8 years and we've never had an std) Not too many on base know about PCOS. Probably PCOS pain.
hey there! i JUST went to a new doctor yesterday (an endocronologist) since i was just diagnosed only a couple months ago by my gyno....ive been having pelvic pain (usually only on the right side but sometimes on the left also) for about two years now. my gyno seemed to think that it was because of the pcos but when i went to this new doctor he told me that it has nothing to do with pcos, and that it isnt considered a symptom of pcos at all. He told me i just had an Atypical pelvic pain and gave me some pain medication for it. HE said the main thing he made note of (and this is why im writing this) was that my pain came at random times of the day and any day. it had nothing to do with my period.
i think you should first figure out when you get the pain and how long it lasts for. Mine has been getting progressively worse..it used to only last 30 seconds and i would be able to continue on as if nothing happened, where as now it lasts up to 3 minutes and is so bad i cant walk.
ive read lots of comments on here about pelvic pain though, so even i think it has somethign to do with the pcos, even though every site and most doctors i find say different.
Did he explain what Atypical pelvic pain is? Mine hurts sometimes for days and sometimes for minutes, sometimes it is extreme and I can't move and others completely bareable. I have spent years trying to figure out a pattern. When I get AF, that spot is the only place I really get cramps as well. I am always being told what it isn't but never what it is. I am sure my dr will not think it is the PCOS as well. I have been told adhesions, NOt adhesions, maybe endometriosis but it wasn't that, nerve damage... but that makes no sense. I am very frustrated. I really appreciate you all sharing your stories. Sometimes i feel like I am broken and am the only one.
