Recently I started getting pain with intercourse only in certain positions. Having been diagnosed with PCOS in 2000 with having many symptomes but no cysts I decided it would be time to have a pelvic ultrasound.
I noticed that pain again with the internal ultrasound. Anyone with cysts experienced pain with an internal ultrasound?
I had a vaginal ultrasound yesterday and had a lot of pain with it. I'm really anxious to see my results. Afterwards as I was "cleaning up" i noticed I was bleeding a little too. Did you have any bleeding afterwards and have you gotten your results yet?
So I've been told that I have multiple cysts that are "suspicious of pcos". I still haven't received a diagnosis but I know this is what it is. I'm still waiting for my insulin results to find out if I'm insulin resistant or not. It sounds kind of stupid, but I really hope I am so I can start on metformin. Otherwise, I'm basically stuck taking provera every three months until god knows when. That's a miserable 15 days every three months. ugh. This is really frustrating. I feel like that metformin would help with more of my symptoms but the provera just makes me have a period which I don't miss that much anyway. If provera is my only option, it seems that I am on my own in this thing.

Just be advised that metformin isn't for everyone with pcos:
So this gets stranger by the minute...I called my Gp's office today to see if they got my results...receptionist said she had been trying to get ahold of me cause I need to have a repeat ultrasound. I asked why and she said she didn't know. I called the hospital and asked why I had to have a repeat considering I don't even know what the results were. The Ultrasound Tech told me that they noticed thickening of the lining in the uterus. I was told that I needed to set up the repeat ultrasound after my AF. I told her that I might be prego and I told the ultrasound tech when I had the ultrasound as I would have conceived a few days prior to the ultrasound. It wasn't documented in my report nor was the fact that I had PCOS.
Anyone else had to have a repeat ultrasound for reasons similar to mine?
From everything I have read online, it seems that we thicken up during our cycle especially during ovulation. So could I be prego? or Could they just be cautious since I have PCOS and want a better view when there isn't thickeining due to my cycle?
I'm having a second u/s after a thick lining finding. I was given provera to bring on AF then I go back for my second u/s once AF is gone. I was having light irrregular AF and my gyn wanted to check everything before giving me anything to make AF more regular. I also had a biopsy to make sure there was no other reasons for the thick lining. Those results came back normal. They don't like your lining to become to thick if your not pregnant.
