Default Pentecostal & Charismatic Christians -November Exercise and Weight-Loss Intercessors

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentecostal

Hello everyone! I wanted to unit people of similar backgrounds...pentecostal, charismatic and non-denominational. I'm so excited about meeting people of similar faiths!

I wanted a thread for us -because we believe in the power of healing and that through God all things are possible. If we unit and pray for each other -we cannot go wrong. I really, really want you to achieve your goals and I'm going to pray for you until you get there!

I welcome you to join me in my journey to drop the pounds and eat better. I will be starting the IR diet in November.

Hop right in and introduce yourself. If you plan on sticking around, please share your goals and your plans of getting there (if you've made them).

Anybody?

Thumbs down I Hate Halloween!!!

well, like me start by saying its halloween and I hate it......its a pagan holiday and it celebrates fear, demons, devils and the dead........there is no Glory to GOD in that!!!!
I had a class tonite and I walk into the classroom and the first thing the instructor says is "happy halloween" and I'm like whats so happy about it? last year some hoodlum kids egged my house!!! cause I didnt open my door.....I hate halloween and I'm glad its over.......any GOD fearing parent that allows their child to celebrate halloween needs to check to make sure they are in the faith....

I understand. I work in a place where they didn't have a problem with people hanging up a witch display, but don't write Jesus on anything! -and don't talk about him to anyone either. It's so weird. But don't let it get to you. I celebrate autumn, to me it's much more fun.

One cyster posted a photo of her six month old dressed up like Curious George! OMG, he was sooooooooooooo cute. Adorable is more like it. I wish I could have reached thru the computer and squeezed him! I have a weakness for soft stuffed animals, babies and ...Curious George.

November Is the Month!

Write the Vision: Someone said write the vision, make it plaine. He will do just he said. That they may write and not faint. So step forward and claim it "done" in the name of Jesus!

Faith is believing in the unseen. I believe that with the one and only powerful God, I can learn a new style of eating enabling me to loose all this extra weight and gain energy. I believe that my powerful God is going to help me to achieve this goal. It is much, but all things are possible thru him that strengthens me. ..So, I'm stepping forward, thru my faith in my powerful God and claiming it done, as of 12 months to this date, my weight will be within 10 lbls of my desired goal. In the powerful name of Jesus -It is so!

Hi. My name is Debi and I'm new here. I haven't officially been diagnosed with PCOS, but that is what my family doctor thinks is going on and has referred me to an Endo. who I'm trying to get into see. Anyway, I love Jesus, but more importantly, I love that HE LOVES ME and faithfully PURSUES my heart daily! I am just getting ready to start the IR-type diet tomorrow and would love to encourage each other with TRUTH in the process.

Stebi93:

I'm so thrilled to meet you. I'm happy you left message -you know what the bible says about when two people are praying for the same goal!

Your doing the right thing by meeting with an RE. (Reproductive Endocriniologist) Be sure that he gives you the fasting glucose tolerance test. In which case, you will not be allowed to eat 12 hours prior to the test. If I were you, I would go to the appointment having fasted and ready to take this test. Consider being proactive and asking for it -it will save you time. The test takes 3 hours during which time, they take your blood and give your a sugary substance at certain intervals and take more blood -they repeat this in 3 cycles for the purpose of testing your blood /glucose levels. Your in the waiting room near the blood lab the whole time.

The RE will most likely put you on Metformin. This drug will help your body to absorb insulin and help to regulate the other hormones in your body. Also, it is very, very important that you obtain copies of the results of this test. You may not understand them right now, but as you frequent these pages, you will pick up on so much information and the numbers on the test will become very relevant to you.

Are you ttc? (trying to conceive) I am. You see the 5 year old on my avatar? I would love to adopt him. His mom has an unofficial diagnose of bipolar disordar. We'll see how that goes.

Hey, does this thread need to be resurrected? I've never looked in here, but I'm down for speaking some things that are not as though they are!

Choirgirl - how is the IR diet working for you? I haven't been consistent with my cinnamon, but I will get on the ball ASAP.

Hi!

Thank ya'll for resurrecting this post! The diet really works, I'm already down by 1 dress size and I haven't been doing the diet consistently. I'm in the process of moving, that's why my posts have been slow. You all are wonderful for keeing me in your thoughts. Remember, All it takes is a few good people united in prayer!

How are you all doing? I'm bouncing back from the thanksgiving.
