My Mood: Points: 4,959.99 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,959.99 | Period after D&C I just had a D&C on Friday. Friday I was bleeding heavily, but the next three days there was basically nothing. Then today (Tuesday) I am bleeding just like a normal period. Is this normal? I'm assuming this is not period, I figure that would be pretty impossible. So do you all this is normal? How long did it take you to get your period after a d&c? I fully expect to not get one since I have not had one on my own for ten years. How long should I wait before I take provera again to induce a period?
It may sound awful, but the only thing that is getting me through the sadness is to hope that I can become pregnant again soon.

It seems like if I do a lot of activity I seem to bleed more. It may take a couple of weeks I think for it to totally stop. I was told that you could start another AF with provera 4 weeks after the D&C. I have been pretty regular since DS so it may take 6 weeks or more I heard to get AF back for me.

How soon you get AF may depend on how fast your HCG levels return to negative. Your progesterone levels will also be dropping during this time. Usually once that happens, AF should arrive.
I'm so sorry about your loss. I know what you are going through as I have been through 2 m/c's, both around 7-8 weeks and had D&Cs with both. I also had a very rare form of an ectopic pregnancy also another time. Hang in there. I know what you mean about the hope of getting PG again soon helping with the sadness. Sometimes that's the best way to get through the loss...to get right back into TTC. It definitely helped me move on from my losses.

I had a D&c after having my twins last year, bled very lightly for a few days then AF turned up about 30 days after
I had a m/c in April this year, bled for 9 days, stopped for 3 and then AF turned up so it can happen that fast
don't know if that helps at all

My Mood: Points: 4,959.99 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,959.99 | Thanks ladies. I think my bleeding has stopped at least for now. I go in Friday for my check up. Maybe he will tell me I can start Provera now. I have no patience

Most likely your Dr is going to want to wait at least 4 weeks before starting you on Provera or anything else. You body also need a certain amount of time to heal from the D&C. I know how anxious you are to get on with things now though. Waiting while TTC is extremely hard! Hang in there!
