I'm new to this and I'm not sure I'm putting this in the right place but, I have a question and am hoping maybe one of you can help me understand this better.

So, I have never gotten my period regularally. Ever. I have had maybe a dozen periods throughout my life, with periods of up to 4 years between them.

Well, I saw this great doc about a month ago and have been diagnosed with PCOS (which i suspected i had, a few of my friends do) & insullin resistance. So, he put me on Metformin and medroxyprogesterone.

Well I just started my second month of medroxy and I'm on like my 6th day of taking the pill, and i got my period!!!

Is this normal?? I mean, they say ur supposed to get it a few days after u stop taking the pills. So am I gonna get it again after I'm done with the pills? Ah! help! lol

That happened to me before, too. I wouldn't worry, my period just continued that time. Now that I think of it, it may have started,stopped for a day or 2, then started again. Normally though it'd start a couple days after the last pill.

Are you on it for 10 days?? I wouldn't worry too much, but if you have concerns I'd call your Dr. just to check. Or even the pharmacist.

Yeah I take it for 10 days. I'm just freaked out about it cuz i dont wanna be stuck with a period for like a month, haha.

Its just ur boday reacting and getting the hormones into lines ect im sure it should settle!
