Default Period/Clots Question

Hey guys.
Little history: Never had normal period, but for the past 5 months or so I had one every month on almost the exact same day. Lasted for 3-5 days and that was it. Last month I skipped. No biggie. Thats about normal for me.
So this month. OMG its horrible. I'm not exactly bleeding. Its clots. All of it. The pain is horrible. I've been "going" for almost 2 weeks. Right when I think its over I start back up.
The clots are very small to VERY LARGE. Most are just the size of the tip of a pencil eraser.
Anyone do this before. I do have a dr appt the 20th. I just want to know now.
Thanks In Advance!

Oh and another thing, the lower part of my tummy is sore. Like if I lean up against a counter or something. I have to kinda push on it for me to make it hurt. Whats up with that?

Are you taking any new Meds that made you become regular or that just happen naturally? I have lots of clots, but I'm my mid-40s and probably in peri-menopause. Clots can be a natural result of the progesterone fading away. Most of mine are quarter-sized or a little bigger.

No meds. I've never found a dr that would listen to me. Trying a new one on the 20th this month.

I'm not trying to scare you but I had a bad experience with clots and prolonged bleeding this past summer. I got af on June 29th (after an 81 day cycle~ longest one ever!) and was put on bcp's originally to shrink a cyst so I could take clomid. I ended up bleeding until late August! I was on bcp's for 72 days straight and at one point was taking two bcp's a day for 2 1/2 weeks! I was put on the strongest bcp and they added something to help with ppl who have nose bleeds and that finally worked!! By the end of my 'trauma' I was passing large and small clots and it was scary, plus I was having really bad cramping, taking Advil every 4 hours some days! My RE told me that it isn't uncommon for us women with pcos to have this happen once in awhile as we go long periods between af's and don't always have 'normal' af's, meaning we just have really light af's (which was me!). He did weekly ultrasounds to check on my uterine lining and he did weekly blood work to check my iron levels etc. Basically it cleared out my system and I'm now on cd28 (12dpo) of my first clomid cycle. I hope your new dr will be able to help you out and get it all under control for you. When I was going through this the girls on here were very helpful and quiet a few had gone through similar situations. Best wishes to you.

I regularly (well, whenever I get a period..!!!) get clots and always have done. They were actually much worse when I was younger, probably because I only got a period twice or three times a year. My GP, endo and gyno have all explained them away saying it's because the womb lining has so much more time to build up than in someone without PCOS/who has a regular cycle. I used at times feel like my entire insides were coming out - sorry if I upset anyone here, but I used to be able to more or less feel the clots coming away from my womb. I have a Mirena IUS now; so my periods are happily much lighter. No more almost fainting as the clots pass.... (Spent New Year's Day 2 years ago huddled on the bathroom floor in pain while my fantastic DB looked on aghast...)
Hope you find an answer - Mirena works for me because we're not trying to have kids any time soon. Good luck!

Also not trying to scare you or upset you, but the fact that you were regular for several months, then skipped makes me suggest this: maybe you had a misscarriage. A couple years ago, my periods were very irregular, and one month I got it and OMG I thought I was going to die... hurt so bad, I felt like I was giving birth (no joke). But I took a PT just before and it was negative, but it was the very next day that AF started, so it could have already happened. When progesterone levels are low, the body can't always sustain pg.... is there a chance of that? I especially thought of that with clots and the soreness in the lower abdomen. I could be wrong. As far as lasting 2 weeks.... when you get pg, the lining gets extra thick, so ... who knows, maybe I'm totally wrong. I hope you get it figured out, whatever it is.
