Ok so maybe I am the only woman who is unsure of just how long a period cycle is. I think that it is 28 days but I am not sure. Can someone clarify this for me?

I also need to know if you start counting the first day of your cycle as the first day that you start your period or as the first day after your period stops.

I am planing on taking NPC and need to know this so that I don't screw myslef up.

So far I think ( but am not sure) that a period cycle lasts for 28 days and that you start counting your cycle from the first day that your period starts.

I have not had a period for two months but am planing on taking NPC in the hopes of getting things started. My plan is to take NPC 20mg in the morning and 20mg in the evening. The NPC that I have dispenses exactly 20mg each time I pump the bottle so I figured that I would start with this since I have heard that a higher dose is recomended in severe PCOS casses. I am planning on following the 5-26 day plan, so will take it for 21 days then be off of it for 7 days. I am hoping that this makes AF come back (I miss her so much) and then switching to the 14 days on 14 days off after 7 months. I have read that is the thing to do so if anyone can find wrong in this plan please correct me. Also if someone can clarify the whole period cycle thing for me I would greatly appreciatte it.

NPC is Natural Progesterone Cream. And I would like to know the answer to the question you asked about when your cycle starts as well, because I have been wondering that also. So hopefully somebody will come answer!

And good luck about starting NPC!! I'm starting it next month as well, so hopefully it will work great for both of us.

You are correct.
Day 1 is the first day of your period (red flow). When using NPC you would be going for a 28 day cycle. Use it for 21 days, stop for 7 and then start again. When you stop the NPC you should get your period.
