Ok, so my doctor called in a prescription for provera for me, which I've taken before with no problems. I took it for the ten days like I normally do and everything was fine. On day 12 (counting from the first day I took the provera), I got AF, like normal. BUT yesterday was day 13 and I'm now fighting with what I can only describe as gushing. Yesterday, I went through two changes of clothes in 20 minutes while I was at work because it went through BOTH a super absorbency tampon and a pad. At this point, I've already called my Dr. and am waiting for her to call me back, but I'm still terrified. This has never happened to me before, w or w/o provera, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them or if anyone has any suggestions as to how to deal with it in the meantime.
were you late? I am sorry to say but this sounds exactly like my 2 m/c, not saying it is but sound just like it. I hope the Dr. is back to you soon. Make sure to drink lots and lay low, take it east. Best of luck.

Well, I normally don't get my period on my own, so it's hard to know if I was what would be considered late. If you're going off the 28 day cycle, then definitely. It had been about 8 weeks since my last period, which was really light. I've had the mc thought too. I just don't know what to do right now!
My mother had the same problem and had fibroid tumors. I had the same problem but I was diagnosed with pcos. I bled so badly and for so long to the point that I became weak and had to have transfusions and iron therapy. I suggest you watch it closely and go to the dr if you start passing large clots
I have the gushies too. I went to my RE and they did both an U/S and HSG and there was no sign of fibroids or any other obstructions. AF just builds up in me and when she visits, she comes with a vengeance. I hate her!
Well, my Dr. wanted me to do a hpt yesterday, and that came back negative. They're still a little concerned, but hoping that its just because its been a while. Thanks to all of you for your responses!!
I sometimes have that and my doctor said it was because my endometrial lining is very thick. I have messed up one of my chairs at home because I bled through my pads and my clothes.
