Unhappy Period out of wack!!

Hello ladies!! I have a question that some of you may be able to relate to or answer question. I have been on Glucophage for about a month now, taking 1500MG a day. I have been on my period for almost two weeks now and wanted to know if anyone else experienced this problem when first starting this drug. Hopefully things will improve after taking this for a few months.

This past cycle was my first one without having to use Provera since the addition of Met 1500mg. I had a very light AF (heavy for a day or two) and then I had spotting for another whole week. When I called the doc he told me it was probably my system adjusting to the Met. Needless to say, this has been an endless cycle this month and now I'm on to taking Provera again. I've been on the Met since August. If you are having concerns, call your doctor, that's what they're there for!

FYI, I just got home from my doctors visit and she said it may be because I am taking too much of the Metformin or my body is trying to adjust. I am suppose to start taking Progestrone if my period has not stopped after the weekend, or is still heavy, this will make it stop. After I finish up the rest of my Metformin I will get a refill taking 850mg twice a day. I have to go get blood work done tomorrow morning to test my glucose levels and she said I may even be pregnant since my breasts have been tender for about two weeks. I don't think I am prego, but you should always try and stay optimistic.
