Ok I have a question I hope someone has the answer for. I took provera to induce af. I am on day 6 of heavy heavy bleeding, lots of clots and some very uncomfortable cramping.... I hate to complain seeing as I wanted this ya know but geez I feel awful. I guess my question is how long will the period last???? I was on provera around 5 years ago and I cant remember. What has everyone elses been like?

I know how you feel, most people can't wait for a/f to end we can't wait for it to start!!!
I took provera 2 months ago and the clotting was horrible so were the cramps I felt like my uterus was going to come out.. it lasted 10 days for me 7 really heavy flow.

Well it has been at least 5 years since my last period... And that was with provera as well. I have lost a few pounds though thats always nice lol.

Don't let it go 5 years ago. 3 periods a year is the goal to be shedding old lining and stuff. Talk to your doctor about all this and how to better manage it.
In the meanwhile... hang in there!

I remember back in 2003 I had ovarian sugey to remove ovarain cysts..and I had my peroid around 4 mths later (after the the surgey), but before the surgey no peroid for 8 mths - My Goodness I felt like my insides were coming out for the 5 days of my peroid, the clotting and the pain. I would buckle over as if someone was kicking me/placing a sharp knife up through my vagina (sorry 2 much detail)... but botom line the pain was unbeliveable!
My advice don't let your abstance of a peroid go longer then 8-9 mths, 'cause all that stuff that you should be shedding is just stiking around your sytsem and can do more harm then good.
For cramping try placinga heating pad on your stoamch and don't eat any greasy food. Maybe a cup of tea?
