Period Question??.....

I have a question. Does anybody that has PCOS still have regular periods but they are just really short and really light???? My periods are like clockwork but for the past year they have only been lasting a day maybe two and hardly any blood. I am only 24 and I have recently gained 15 pounds in a month and a half. I am up to 160 and I am only 5 ft 3 1/2 in. Does anybody have simular problems?

I too like you always had regular periods...in fact since I was 11 years old...normal flow and always like clock work...

Never even thought that something could be wrong....until I tried to get preggo...thats when I learned that yes I was having normal periods but not normal cycles...I wasnt ovulating at all!!!

I too have struggled with weight all my life..and the hair in unwanted places and things like that...I had never even heard of PCOS until my DR said it....

Wow!!
I was tested by my Dr for pcos, and he told me that while i had some of the symptoms, it simply COULD NOT be pcos, because i have regular periods, and a nice heavy flow (never mind that the cramps double me over, and require lots of pain meds to control) and the biggest thing was the lack of periods.....

I am actually on this site because when i said that to my sister in law, she Knew it was wrong, and sent me here to be educated (and she insists i find a new dr... and i am starting to agree with her!)

Now here are two other women who have periods and pcos!
