I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this...
I have struggled with PCOS for a long time...it's been a constant roller coaster ride of HELL! I had managed to lose a bit of weight however and my periods came back-mostly normal-still not on time and I would still occasionally miss a month...but as normal as they could be.
I had started my period last January and then proceeded to gain 50 lbs (!!!!) to put me at my highest weight ever-and of course, it completely shut down my cycle again. (It was stress etc... lame excuse but true). Anyway, it has been since then since I had a period... until yesterday.
I have a very stressful job at a large college and a student and I clashed two days ago because she was not listening to me. I was trying to help her fix her problem and she decided to argue with me instead. I get frustrated a lot in my job but I'm good at letting things go and moving on. I rarely get angry but I was hot with rage and was on the verge of a panic attack... and my friends/co-workers told me that I was shaking. The next day, my period showed up finally.
It never dawned on me but my roommate said he was not surprised because this has happened three times before. Each time, I would go without a period for a long time, then something would set me off and the next day, I'd finally start.
My question is this: Is getting my period again related to me getting angry-is the anger kicking off the hormones? OR, is my period already on course to start and I'm angry because of PMS?
I do suffer from PMS and know that you can be irritable etc... before your period... but with PCOS-I'm pretty much always irritable (Ha, ha)... but really, I'm rarely so angry that I feel flush with heat-it takes a lot for that to happen.
Just curious as to what others thought and if anyone else has experienced this. I was surprised for it to start because I'm am still at my highest weight and haven't been able to lose anything... but this happened...and finally *sigh*... I hate the pain and cramping but at least it decided to show up already!
