In the last 3 monthes I've been having a period nearly every other week... Its insane! I asked my docter and he thinks its my BC but I've taken this kind many times before and never ever had such horrible periods and so frequently. Its heavy to the point where I need 3 or 4 regular tampons a day. I'm only 22, I was diagnosed at 15 and been treated with metformin since then. Longest I can go without a period is 2 weeks to 2.5 weeks... I'm taking Black Cohosh caps, One Source Women's Vits, L-Arginine Caps, 1000 mg Flax seed oil caps, Metformin 500 mg, Levothyroxyn 125 mcg. Its very annoying. What do you think? What should I do? What should I ask the doc? I did stop taking 100 mg spironolactone a day cause I was worried that if I really did get pregnant I've heard it has very adverse affects on the fetus. I try to eat fairly evenly and exercise alot when home and I have a very active work life. I'm also sexually active quite a bit. Anything I should keep in mind? I'm going to stop with the blakc cohosh caps and not sure i should keep taking my l-arginine or flax seed caps. Any advice? Thanks so much
OH MY GOD! I am eactly the same i mean wtf? I hate it i get such bad pad rash i thought with pcos u only have absent periods but i have them every other weeks all the time so i would love to know when do we ovulate? like we only get a tiney break...if u find out why please let me know im dying here heheh!

What type of BC are you on? If it is a "combined" pill with over 25 mcg estrogen, that should have reigned in your bleeding...if not maybe he needs to test you for polyps (saline us) or even do a biopsy to make sure nothing is suspicious.
Now taking spiro alone will make you bleed like that, and progestin-only bcp (minipill or Mirena) can make you bleed.

Early We had sex prolly 4-6 times a week about a month ago now cause he's away for a while its been about 1-2 times a week now. I just got my period again this last tuesday and its nearly gone already again. I asked my doc earlier when I was on BC and he thought it was the bc ut its still like this. Although the bleeding was way way less I hardly bled at all this time. Last time we had sex was last Saturday the 17.
