Default Periods That Won"t Stop!!!

I went off my bcp's for about 5 days cuz I wasn't sure if I could take them with my antibiotics. This was about 4 weeks ago. After the 5 days I resumed taking my bcp's but now my period hasn't stopped since then. So it's been about 3 1/2 weeks I've had it - with taking bcp's.

Does anybody know what I can do to get my period back on track without having to go to the doctor?

Just for future reference: You can continue to take BCP's while on anti-biotics. However, it's recommended that when you're taking both at the same time, you use a back-up form of birth control, because antibiotics can make the pill less effective.

Now that you stopped taking your pill for a week then started again, your body and hormones are probably all out of wack. I would recommend calling your gyno, telling her/him what happened and they should be able to tell you whether to continue on the same pack you've been using, or to make an appt with them, whatever they think is best. I know that when I stop taking a BCP, I start my period and it doesn't stop. Without birth control, my periods are always the opposite of a normal one, 3 weeks on, 1 week off. If you continue to stay on the pill, your first few cycles are probably not going to be a normal cycle like you're used to. I'm not a doctor, but I think it's like when you first started taking the medication. My suggestioin would be calling your doctor though, they know more than I do...or atleast I hope so =P.
