Phentermine?

Has anyone taken this diet medication? If so, did it work for you?

Ok first let me say I understand there are a lot of people that don't believe in taking diet pills. However, I do. I have been taking Phentramine for a month tomorrow. It is working for me, I have lost 11 lbs. I was referred from some girls at my work and they have all done REALLY well on it. My doctor also gave me a B-12 shot and put me on a strict diet. I also must say I am very much a chocolate person and since I started taking this I haven't been craving it at all.. actually it pretty much takes your appetite away. (which is ok with me because I will eat everything in sight normally) So, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask. Good Luck!

Thanks Sabrina! I have a friend who is taking it and it is working really well for her and she said doesn't give her the side effects some of the other diet medications she has tried did. Where did you get yours? She ordered her's from the internet, did you get yours from a doctor?

I do get mine from a doctor. I've heard you can get it off the internet a lot cheaper but I was also told here in Cali if you don't have a rx for it and get caught with it, you get introuble for having a controled substance. I haven't bothered to check and see if thats true or not. The only side effects I have are dry mouth, sleeplessness and i tend to get pretty moody from what i hear

My doctor has been giving it to me and I have no side effects except dry mouth. It has helped me alot. My doctor told me that he wouldn't let me stay on it for more than 6 months, but in that amount of time with the help that phen gives you controling your appetite you can make major changes in your habits that you should be able to keep up after you stop. He warned me that of course it would take extra effort then, but I would already be used to eating less. I have been not taking it for a few days here and there to see what differances I notice without it and so far my appetite is no worse. We'll see what happens when I let it go completely out of my system though.

I just started taking this on Tuesday, I have already felt a difference in my appetite and my energy level is way up. I wouldn't feel safe ordering this over the net w/o a script though. It is a controlled substance, which means you are required by law to have a script from a doctor for it. My doctor will only give me a 30 day script at a time, I have to go back in and actually see him before he will give me more. I have known several friends that had great success with this, diet and exercise are also key though.
