I haven't been keeping up with my emails lately, sorry.
I am going to make my story short.
I am 33 and just got married in February. Never in a million years did I think it would ever happen!!!!!
Anyway, I have been on Paxil, Metformin, and Yasmin in the past. Then I was on Effexor, Metformin, and Yasmin. LOST about 70lbs. in a year with my own version of lowcarb. Went back on Paxil, Metformin,
and Yasmin. GAINED about 20lbs. back, tragic!!!!!!! but still on low carb, what in happened?????
PAXIL made me gain weight back!!!
NO MORE PAXIL!! As of September 21st of 2006 I am paxil free.
I was moved up to 2000mg of Metformin from 500mg about 2 mths. ago. I think I might have lost a few lbs.
I had a kidney stone a couple of weeks ago and I guess I passed it. So the doctor I am going to that diagnosed it is new to me and a family pract. so I mentioned my weight problem and how the low carb could have caused my kidney stone. I was still having some pain on the side and back so she sent me to have an MRI. THey found a cyst on my ovary (suprise, suprise) and some larger than normal lymph nodes in my mesentary area(abdomen). I am going back for a contrast scan FRi. That is to check the lymph nodes again and I guess the cyst. That all prompted the following:
My question to the doctor was am I taking the right meds for PCOS. SHe said yeah for the treatment.
Well, I want to start to try to get pregnant in March and I want to lose at least 20-30 lbs. before. NOT happening apparently. SO she has prescribed me Phentermine 37.5 for 1 month only. I don't know what to do, I know a few people on it and it has been working for them, I am just worried about doing it for a month and then in February stop it then try to get pregnant in March. IS THAT SAFE TO WAIT A MONTH?? I haven't talked to my gyno yet because she wouldn't prescribe phentermine for me. I hate to tell her if I start but I am supposed to see her 2 months before I want to try to get pregnant. I don't know why, can't I be on Met and try to get preg?
