Phytoestrogens.. Ive been doing some extensive research on wether there are ways to gain regrowth from the loss Ive suffered. Many that Ive spoken with find that they have a hard time with maintaining or slowing down the loss of head hair and wish there was some way to combat it. I think I may have fallen onto something of interest to those like me. I read where Phytoestrogens might be the ticket we are looking for. Many who suffer from hair loss with PCOS have noticed that like a woman during menapause she looses hair at a noticable rate and in what region is refered to as "male pattern baldness". Its been said that our Androgen count (testostorone) level is higher than our estrogen. Even when test results show otherwise a normal level. When infact it bounces around and at the time of testing it may have been close to normal only to drop again later on. This explains why some see heavier shedding and then it eases up and begins again. When this happens its called "Androgenic Alopecia" and its of great concern for us with it. Ive found research that states that phytoestrogen found in soy fools your body into thinking its estrogen levels are low and causes the release of FSH and LH to help stimulate follicle production. Aka: new growth. So has anyone read into this or found information that might be helpful with regards to this discovery?.
