Default Ugh

It's so hard to get motivated to work out huh? Especially with the busy time of year and it being colder out. Thankfully in Charlotte, it's not too bad.

I can testify that they both work .i would do 3 days of aerobics and 2 days of strenghth training with 3lb weights. I was 180lbs and i lost 20lbs to weigh 160lbs. I also combined it with strict diet. I cut out white flour and food with high carbs. Unfortunately i lacked off and gained 9lbs. I started back i am losing pounds agian. it is something you have keep at.

This is definitely an interesting article. I previously lost 25 pounds in 2 months by watching what I ate, drinking water and giving up caffeine and I felt great, but I stopped working out and went back to regular eating, and in a month I gained all the weight back. This re-inforces the idea that muscle tone is better than aerobics for long term weight loss.

I was glad to see this article again. My husband and I have been reading Dr. Bernstein's "The Diabetes Solution" and that is one of his recommendations -- resistance/strength training for diabetics who are still producing insulin (over abundance, of course).

No. It's more 'functional' training. It's a great workout, but no substitute for strength training.
