Dr wants me to start the Pill to regulate my cycle... started bleeding out of the clear blue on Christmas day (I usually have to take prometrium to start bleeding) when should I start my first pill?

I just went back on the pill but decided to start it midweek so I can have AF midweek. My AF is long and I want to feel better by the weekend. I usually get AF the 5th day on the off week. AF arrived for me on Christmas EVE so I just started yesterday, Wednesday. You could start today if you wanted.

Just want to make sure you are talking about BCP right?

Depends when the dr wants you to start. Usually it's first day or Sunday start. First Day start is you start taking it the day AF arrives. With Sunday Start, you start taking it the Sunday after AF arrives. So if AF comes Monday thru Sat, you take it the following Sunday (even if you are no longer bleeding). If AF comes on Sunday, start taking it that day.

You say you got it on Christmas Day, you should have started them either that day (First day start) or the next day (Sunday Start). I don't think it'll be a problem if you start them today, but just note that you are now on a Thursday start.

You would take the first pill in the pack. What BCP are you on?
