After taking Provera to induce my period, it came...and I started Yasmin as directed by my doctor. I still have my period and it's really heavy and painful. Isn't the birth control supposed to do something for that? Or was this just the inevitable since I haven't had my period since September?

This stinks! I couldn't even leave my house today and I missed 3 classes. Let me know what you think.

Your period will be lighter on Yasmin next month. Your Provera-induced period will not be helped by the Yasmin...the Yasmin-induced periods will be much lighter and easier to handle. I was a beast on Provera...it put me in SUCH a bad mood, and when I did finally get my period after about seven days, I felt awful. But don't worry, it'll get better!
