the past month or so i have been very very down, like to the point were all i want to do is sleep or eat. i have not felt like this in over 3 years. is it possible that taking the bcp could casue this?

The pill can cause (or worsen existing) depression. I was a total wreck when I took bcp's (in addition to horrible physical side effects)

The mini-pill (progestin only) has less physical and emotional side effects (though it is also less effective as a form of birth control).
