has anyone heard about useing ovcon 50 to help relieve the cyst pain?????? the gyn/ob doc said give it 3 months atleast to see if it helps the pain but have anyting take bcp for it? has anyone use bcp to help with cyst pain? or am i crazy thinking bcp wont help with pain???

The BCP will generally reduce the size of an ovarian cyst. Thus, alleviating the pain. I had a cyst recently and within the 3rd month of taking BCP's it had shrunk to almost nothing. I think this is standard procedure.

9/03 started 1000mg Glucophage XR
1/22/04 Increased to 1500mg Glucophage XR
3/05 Reluctantly started Mircette to stop a 4 month AF
5/23/05 Laparoscopy done - Diagnosed with Endometriosis

Current Meds: 1500mg of Metformin ER, Mircette BCP(continuously, not taking the 4th week) & Lexapro 10mg
