Default Pimples after waxing?

I wax my moustache, I use Sally Hansen sugar wax, the kind that comes in a little tube that you heat in hot water. It does a reasonably good job of getting most of the hair, but have noticed that for several days afterward I get lots of little pimples on my upper lip where I wax. I use the same wax for my eyebrows, and I have never had any kind of reaction there. I have tried plucking (I pluck my chin) but there is just too much hair and it really hurts! I have 2 questions...
1. How could I improve my results to get more hair off?
2. Is there anything I can do to prevent these pimples? Is that normal?

denise, i can't respond to the getting more hair off questions, but i too get the pimples after getting my lip waxed (and never around my eyebrows). my waxer usually puts some tea tree based zit stuff on after she waxes and it seems to reduce the breakout. however, while pregnant, i've had to give up on the lip waxing as the breakouts were aweful. instead she just trims me...doesn't last as long, but its free and doesn't make me break out. she claims that my skin is sensitive and the increased hormones while pregnant has made it even more sensitive.

oh, just a reminder, if you use a topical acne fighter, beware not to dry out your skin...moisturize as well.

good luck!

I get them under my chin all the time after using any delipitory or tweezing. My dermotologist says that they are the start of ingrown hairs (like razor bumps that men get).......

I use my hubby's bump patrol and that seems to be working fine.
