I love my RE at Magee. Her name is Brinda Kalro, and she's with the Center for Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology on the 5th floor. I've also heard amazing things about Dr. SanFilippo, but I took the first appointment I could get, and didn't regret a thing. She identified a genetic defect that we weren't looking for that could have been devastating had I gotten pregnant unintentionally -- I don't process folate into folic acid, which means that I need to take additional folic acid to prevent neural tube defects. I would highly recommend them.

I should also recommend my gyne, who I love more than life itself as well. I spent a lot of time in his office a couple of years ago, with constantly rupturing cysts, pelvic pain, the whole nine yards. I was super reluctant to have surgery, so he babied me along until there was no other option. When he went and did my pelvic lap, there was a mess for him to clean up, and he cleaned it up beautifully. He took his time and unblocked my tubes that were entirely blocked and, at this point, has explained to me about a million and a half times what was in there, what he saw, what he did, and what that may or may not mean for my fertility. He has tried every version of BCP under the sun with me, finally settling on a Mirena IUD to get things to settle and be well controlled.
Anyway. Now that I've nominated him for sainthood, his name is Mark Mallinger, and he's also at Magee, right across the hallway from the Center for Fertility and RE.
