I am in the same situation. I am scheduled to see DR Sanfilippo, MD in July!! I would like any insight that anyone might have on this or any of the doctors in the Center for Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology at Magee's Women's Hospital. They are highly recomended by my doctor, so i imagine that they are knowledgable and whatnot. But if any one has experience with them and could give some insight that would be great!!

Thanks

Aww i am from Indiana... it's cool to meet others from the area where are you from?

Well i my situation. I am on health care until 21. I just found out i could get medical assistance free... until i was 21... a few weeks ago..i am 21 in may. There is just no way i can get a doctor, who is knowledgable in PCOS to help me before then. I have been to SOOOOOOO many doctors and I am just so tired of hearing "let me put you on birth control to help you with your periods" don't take it, are you on it? I took it for a year like they said, they said when i was off... i would feel better, have periods regularly. BS!
I am worse than i was before, my conditions got worse

ugh sorry for rambling just in a very bad sitation right now...

Well my situation is a lot like yours. I am 23 years old and was diagnosed around the age of 20-21. Went through a lot of doctors telling me that there was really nothing that could be done until i was ready to TTC. And so after tons of switches, i finally found a doctor here who is willing to help me and great in doing so. Now that i have a serious bf and am probably going to get engaged soon, i am starting to think about kids... so my doc is sending me to the endocrinology and reproductive unit at Magee. That is why i am seeing a different Dr than you i guess. But i would still like to get some feedback on the doctors that i am going to see before i get there. And you are seriously lucky to get an appt. The office called me to make an appt. and the first available is July 6th. That is insane!!! But at least i am going and getting this stuff figured out before i start TTC...

Well let me know how your doc appt goes and i will keep you up to date with my situation as well. Talk to you soon
