Plastic hair and rocks in skin? Anybody have problems with plastic-like hair in their skin?
Ocassionally, I can feel something poking out of my skin (could be anywhere and everywhere) that looks like a white hair, but it feels hard and makes a "click" sound if I used my nail to "run over" it. Hope that makes sense. I can usually pull it out with tweezers. When I pull it out, it's this thick white thing that's very stiff. But it's not a pimple.
And the rocks in the skin? OK, well, I've asked many doctors about this, but they can't give me a consistant answer. On my body, there are these bluish tinted spots. I can feel something under the skin. I've pulled some out before, but that's only after basically preforming surgery on myself extracting these things that are the BANE of my existence. (Having OCD doesn't help with ignoring these things.) After I've extracted them, they look like small pebbles or rocks. The doctors are reluctant to surgically take them out stating that the scaring would be worse than leaving them in. Then why is it that when I take them out, everything is fine? It's the ones that I can't reach myself that I want taken out. Sigh.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had/has these problems to see if they were related to IR, PCOS or being overweight. Or just anyone in general, because I haven't had much luck finding someone who shares these afflications.
Thanks in advance! |
