well it seems that i have gone into labor 9 weeks early. so far my ob has been successful at stopping my contractions with meds, but feels certain that i wont make it another 3 weeks. so she will at least be 6 weeks early. the have give me steriods to mature her lungs, but could everyone please just say a prayer for me that she will be ok? thank you all so very much!
angel--baby, I've been reading about your experience the last few days, and you and your baby have been in my prayers. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. May you feel the Lord by your side and may He bring you peace, I pray your baby is born in a few weeks healthy and strong.
By the way, my son who is now 11 was born 6 weeks early. He is now 5'4" inches tall, and about 100 lbs. Tall and thin and very healthy!

My youngest sister was born premature way back in 1972 and spent a couple of weeks at the hospital. She celebrated her 30th birthday this year and is strong and healthy
The lungs are the important thing and it sounds like they are taking care of that. I said a prayer for you and your baby!

prayer just said in Phoenix. I just know that little girl is going to be fine! Try to stay relaxed (I know, easy for me to say!LOL!) and keep us updated.

thank you all so much its looking like the prayers have come though. at the dr the other day, he said that my cervix looks stable and he is "confident" that i will make it at least one more week that week will make a world of difference in lil abbys health again thank you all so very much!
that is truly wonderful and lil abby will be such a blessing when she comes into this world, prayers going with you and your family, take care and keep us updated. Lori

AB--You may or may not know that my little girl was born 4 months early. She was in the NICU for 94 days.
Jess is now a happy & healthy 6 1/2 (almost 7 !!) year old and has progressed beautifully. If you saw her you'd never guess she was a preemie.
Generally, anything past 34 weeks and your little one will be fine. It's great that she has been given meds for her lungs and I"m sure you're being monitored closely. She may need a little oxygen or billirubin lights, but I'm guessing everything will be OK. I know--easy for me to say, huh?!
Having said all that, I understand your fear and I am saying a prayer for your little slice of heaven!!
