Question Please Answer

Hi, my name is Stacy and I am new here. I have not been diagnosed with PCOS, but I have alot of the symptoms that are associated with the syndrome. (I'm sure you all here that alot) My question is about having VERY VERY VERY painful periods, is that something associated with PCOS? My cramps start about 1-2 days before my period actually starts and then continues until about 1-2 days AFTER it has gone, and my periods usually last about 4-5 days. So that is about 6-9 days of pretty horrific cramps. I have some Naproxen that I have been taking but really doesn't help much. I am going to try and get into my dr and talk to her about this matter. BUt was curious as to what you all know about this. My other symptoms include:
  • weight gain (mostly around the tummy)
  • facial hair (although not in excess)
  • i have a few skin tags (around my neck area, and boob area (sorry))
  • always had irregular periods
  • had issues trying to get pg and stay pg because of annovulation and weak ovulation
  • and lately have been having probs with my blood pressure (which i saw MIGHT be a sign or a problem associated with this)
My last son was conceived by using 1500mg of Glucophage and 50mg of Clomid, so maybe I should just go back to my ob/gyn and talk to him, since apparently he thinks something might be happening to give me the Gluc, right?

Well any and all answers would be appreciated. THANKS!!!

Stacy

It sounds like you may have endometriosis on top of PCOS, like me. Painful periods are assoiciated with it. You sound so much like me, I could have written that. Has your doc ever mentioned this to you before? (endometriosis)
