Ok, I've got a question....Is it normal to feel pelvic pain with polycystic ovaries? I mean, I don't really feel it only directly in my pelvic region - It's making my right hip have a dull pain. Basically, it's mostly my right hip that has a dull ache, with a slight dull ache in my right pelvic area (sometimes groin!) Is this normal with polycystic ovaries?
I'm not sure if this info will help you, but I thought I was having pain in the same area due to my cysts. It turns out I've got a muscular problem - my quads and hamstrings have been overpowering my hip muscles, and because I am so flexible, the top of my leg bone was poking into the muscles of my hip when I flexed my leg too far, and causing tremendous pain and irritation. It took me a while and a number of doctors to figure this out. I've had to go for muscle retraining and changing the way I walk. I had my internist correctly diagnose me and he sent me for physical therapy.
I've always had pain like you're describing when my cysts flare up. They're always present, but sometimes I'll get a rather large or "complicated" cyst, and that's when I'll experience the pelvic pain, also near my hip and in my groin. During those times, sex is really painful too. I hope you feel better!

I've been experiencing pain like this for over a year now, but non of my doctors seem to care nor have a clue as to what it is. I don't have cysts, so I assumed my problems were related to vericose veins on my upper legs. However, I did see a vein doctor about removing the veins, and he wasn't sure the pain was related to that. It's to the point now that I sometimes remain horizontal some days because of this.
The following may be TMI, so you've been warned.
My problems seem to get worse around the time of my period and also seem to be connected to bowel movements. When the aching gets really bad, I notice I get very, very constipated and then I'll feel less pain after I finally relieve myself.
