No, Met didn't do that to me, I've always had bad mood swings, even before taking it. But I've been taking a Vitamin B-complex for the last month and - WOW - what a difference. My mood has completely leveled out. You may want to try it.

i'm not on met, so i can't answer that. you may want to post this message in the medications section of the message board.

i know my mood swings were much worse before i started exercising every day. running is my sanity.

I have been on it for almost 3 weeks and I feel sleepy-yet I have trouble sleeping. It makes me feel so tired and just plain unhappy. Maybe PCOS related depression not metformin related. I actually drank a whole pot of freshely brewed coffee and in under 3 hours and still felt like passing out I was so tired!

yeah, i didn't feel great on metformin. i guess i felt more pms-sy. i also had the feeling dog tired, but not being able to sleep. i also had very heavy bleeding and a period that didn't seem to end. metformin just made me feel generally crap.

I felt like that for about a month after i started taking met. Then everything seemed to even out. Now i get bored easily, and don't get upset as easily. I think b/c met is suppose to get your hormones in order when it starts working in the system it gives you pms like symptoms. Makes since, considering when you get pms it is because your hormones are getting your body ready for af. HTH
