Default Please help!

Hi guys,

I am very, very new to this whole diagnosis! Have been having very irregular periods after coming off the pill 9 months ago. Have had 3 periods and am currently on day 70.

I had bloodwork taken 17 days ago and the results have shown an LH:FSH ratio of >6:1 (levels were 25:4). My GP believes this to be most likely due to PCOS and not a surge as I should have had a period ny now. I had irregular periods before going on the pill 11 years ago and two of my aunts have PCOS. Other hormones were within normal ranges although I know that testosterone was at the high end of normal. I have no hairiness issues although have gotten spots since coming off pill. Also am not really overweight although have also gained about half a stone since coming off the pill. I am 5ft 7 and weigh about 11st. I am veggie and tend to eat low GI without consciously doing so!

My GP is sending me for transvaginal ultrasound and just wanted to know do people think she is correct in suspecting PCOS?

Thank you so much for any help/advice/opinions!!
