Default Please help.........

So as many of you know, I had my D&C on 3/26/09. Since then, the heaviest bleeding I have had was not even equal to my regular AF. Yesterday, I started passing clots, and the bleeding was a bit heavier. Today, the bleeding is worse, with even more clots. Is this normal? SHould I be concerned? I feel more cramping now, and I'm going to take some Motrin to see if it helps. My mom thinks it may be my regular AF coming along with everything else. Is this normal?

I don't know, I've never had a D&C... but it sounds a bit odd. Are they positive they removed all tissue, there was nothing left in there? Sometimes if there is retained tissue it can cause issues with bleeding and clots afterward... If it gets really heavy (more than a pad an hour) go to an urgent care facility or an emergency room. If it isn't that heavy, but you are still concerned, I would advise calling your dr as soon as you are able to, even if that's tomorrow morning. Just my opinion though, like I said, I've never had a D&C... but from what I've read from other woman, it does sound a tad excessive. But I can't be sure hun.

OK ladies. I am concerned now. Stephanie, it is about 1 pad per hour, and the clots are getting bigger and bigger. The blood is practically flowing like I'm slowly peeing, KWIM? I am having cramping that is tolerable, but I took midol, and it didn't help. (although, when I do get AF and take midol, it never helps, but I couldn't find my motrin or tylenol).

If it continues I am going to go to the ER.

Jenn--You need to call your OB or go to the ER like the other ladies have said. If you are soaking 1 pad an hour than you are at risk of hemmorrhaging!

Jenn-I had the same exact thing for a day, then it slowed. I bled for about a month after the D&C (never thought it would stop!) but only had that really heavy bleeding for a day.

Good that you're going to the ER to get checked out though!

Just FYI: Since the D&C, AF is either nonexistant (wasn't much before D&C as well but at least something) or extremely light. My lining is (or at least it was last time I went to the dr) consistantly thin.

Jenn~I am glad you are going to ER. I was told if I started bleeding heavy (as a matter of fact they said filling a pad an hour) to go to ER right away. I just had my d&c on Thursday but I am passing some little clots too. I think that is normal but not big clots and lots of them. That is scary. I am praying all is ok. Please update asap!

Ladies - Thank you soooo much for all or your help and advice. So, I called my OB's service at about midnight, and got the covering doctor. She asked about the bleeding, the cramping, etc. She told me that at that point, since the bleeding had slowed down considerably, that it didn't sound like an emergency, but if it started bleeding/clotting again and if the cramps became unbearable to go to the ER. She then asked why I was calling then instead of 6 hours before. (She sounded tired and annoyed that I was calling at that time. Well excuse me! This is my first time going through this, and no one gave me any directions) I was taken aback, but I told her that I wasn't sure what was going on, my bleeding was never this heavy, and the cramping started to become unbearable. She then said if I made it through the am, I could call the office and they would check me in the office. So, I ended up staying home with DH monitoring me. I finally fell asleep at about 2am. Right now, there's a little bit of cramping, but not any bleeding. I called to speak to my OB, and she's supposed to call me back.

Jenn ~ I'm surprised she acted so annoyed. I think my office has around 5 MDs or so that are constantly on call. I found through all the calling I've done the last week or so that they are constantly awake and just sitting up at the hospital with deliveries and on call to the general OB patients. I'm glad it's slowed down and I really hope you're feeling better. Keep us updated!

My OB called and because it slowed, and there was no more clotting, she told me not to worry. Today I hardly had any bleeding at all, but minor cramping.
