Exclamation Please help!

I haven't had my period for 9 - 10 months and now finally the doctors are taking me seriously I've had this problem for 3 years or more and skip and have like 1 or 2 periods a year. And now that I have insurance I can see a great doctor!
But I've been put on provera... i don't know anything about it but I took it for the first time today and omg! I'm in pain... my belly hurts : \ I don't think they are cramps? When you're on provera the first pill do you stat right away or is this a reaction... I also think I have a head ache but that didnt start until I started getting all bent out of shape over hurting... :p It feels like somone is sticking their fingers in my gutt or something on both sides... ugh!!!!!

My doc is an Endo and isn't in until Tuesday should I go to the emergency rpoom or have others had pain? Or maybe I'm hurting because I havent had it for sooo long.???

You are not alone! I am in the exact same position as you, expect I have already gone through the part you are facing now. I took Provera for 5 days, and it made me feel horrible. I felt sick to my stomach and had no energy. My period came on the 3rd day after stopping Provera and I had terrible cramps. This was my first time taking Provera and I hope I never have to take it again!! lol

My period has been extremely heavy since it started, which is now in it's 9th day. The clotting has been really bad. I spoke to my ob-gyn two days ago and she said that this was a typical for someone who has not had a period in many months. I understand why my period has been so heavy and that it is a good thing to have it taken care of, but I really wish it would end. I also started Ortho Tri-Cyclen this past Sunday so I don't know what part that plays in all of it. I just want to start to feel better!

I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging but I know what you are going through. I think what you are going through is normal, but if it would make you feel better, I would say have it checked. It can't hurt. I hope things improve for you and you start to feel better soon. One thing that did help me the past few weeks has been this site. I read through many of the older posts and realized there are so many people going through simliar experiences. It just made me feel a little more comfortable about what was going on, even though it is a little scary at times.

Take care of yourself!
