Hi Ladies,
I had my very first RE appointment today, and let's just say I was overwhelmed. He was very kind, knowledgeable and he listened to what I had to say... he did an u/s, exam, and drew 4 vials of blood for tests. We pretty much determined that I do indeed have PCOS, and I'll be starting on Glucophage and Met. Now, here's the thing I'm kinda unclear on... we were going to start some of the treatments right away, however something on my u/s made him want to wait until my blood tests come back. Apparently I have the typical "string of pearls" thing going on... but there was one 14mm fluid filled sac or follicle there. And it was the only one like it... he said you usually don't see that right after ovulation, and asked me if it was possible that I haven't ovulated yet? I told him I was pretty sure that o'd last week, I had my LMP on 6/9, and ovarian twingies last Tuesday which I always get when I ovulate. So... I guess this means there is a possibility that I'm pg???
Any thoughts on this? I've done a lot of research, but when it comes to follicles and stuff, I need to do a little more. I'd appreciate any info/input anyone can give me.

Did he say you could be PG?

I don't know what to tell you really.. never had that problem. I would wait a few more days and take a test. Or call him and ask your question to the nurse and have the dr. call you back with an answer. My dr. calls me all the time when I have questions.

I'd love to tell that happened to me but it did not.. .Did he do a blood HCG to determine if you are PG? You ovulate every month? Sorry I have no real answer for this one.

Thank you ladies for your responses... Wiggles, yes, the Dr. did say it was a possibility that the follicle/cyst could be the very early stage of pregnancy in progress. That's why he held off on the Spiro until we get the results back...
JFoxx- he did run some kind of progesterone test on me for that reason... and no, I don't ovulate every month, but I ovulated this month. I had my LMP on 6/8, and I o'd sometime at the beginning of last week. We dtd during that time...
