Question please help i feel like i am going crazy

sometimes i wonder if i am ever going to learn to adjust to the mood swings, one minute i will be perfectly fine and the next i could cry you a river and then just like that i could bite your head off. I am scared that my short temper is not only going to effect my son,but also effect my marriage. My DH knows everything that i go through but sometimes i don't think he realizes how bad it really is. Please help?!!!

Hi, Lyttle1

I am so sorry that you are struggling right now. The mood swings are something that a lot of cysters struggle with and I am sure that you are not alone!

There may be some specific, simple things that you can easily do that might help. I offer them here:

Do you know that something that has helped me is to simply make sure that I get enough sleep? That seems to help my outlook tremendously. Take a good look at that and ask yourself if you are really getting enough sleep.

Another thing that has helped hormonally caused mood swings around the tiime of AF is to take a Calcium and Magnesium supplement every day. It really takes the edge off of emotional PMS symptoms. Several of the cysters on the board here have recommended that and it has helped them. I was skeptical at first, but was so glad that I gave it a try. It is not a cure all, but it helps! I just take 2 gel caps of Cal/Mag that I got at a supermarket every day along with my multivitamin.

I hope this helps. I hope and pray for you that things will get easier for you.

((((((((hugs)))))))))))

Kathryn
