I found out just today (on my birthday) that I have a herniated disc and was prescribed "Neurontin"....was wondering if anyone knows if this will be bad for me as I have fatty liver (a liver disease) and PCOS where I'm taking metformin?
If no one knows, does someone know a good website that can tell me something about this? Thanks.

Somebody else is going to have to do mature because I'm going to be selfish and get what I want.
HI I would call your pharmacy. Also if you told you prescribing physician that you were on met they would probably make sure there are no interactions. Just in case call your pharmacy they can look it right up and any time I have questions they can usualy tell me off the top of there head. Also if you get the met at the same place you got the new drug when they put it in the computer it will tell them that it can cause interactions if there is a possibility. If you are still worried and want answers fast try a search engin for interactions between the meds some online pharmacys show the interactions between meds and what should be avoided. I hope this helped you.
Only drug interaction I know if is the gastrointestinal drug Tagamet. But it would definetly be worth a phone call to the pharmacy.

I am on Neurontin, and Metformin, without any drug interactions between the two.
Howerver I would call your pharmacy, or speak to your doctor about your concerns as i for example do not have a fatty liver, so we could metabolize it differently because of that.
Best of luck getting information,
