I was wondering if anyone that has taken Loestrin24 (the BCP that claims it will shorten your period to 3 days) has had any issues with spotting/bleeding mid way through a pack?

With the first pack, I started AF right before my last active pill and now with this, the second cycle, I have started spotting/bleeding on day 14 of 24 active pills. Now I know that my recent pg loss may be the cause of the mid BCP pack bleeding, but I wanted to see if there were any other women who noticed this in the first few cycles with Loestrin24.

Any help is appreciated as I never had mid cycle spotting/bleeding with the various other BCPs I have been on in the past. I am planning on calling my doc's office tomorrow if this continues becasue it could effect me going back on fertility meds at the end of this cycle.

maybe the bleeding is from the low estrogen content. it has the estrogen of a mini pill. maybe that is why you are having the bleeding. other bcp aside from mircette have more estrogen. hope this helps. good luck.
