I've had excessive hair growth for as long as I can remember. I saw an endocrinologist when I was 16 and he said all my hormones were normal and that the hair was probably due to my Middle Eastern background. I went for laser multiple times, but it didn't seem to work. Possibly because I have red hair and the laser just doesn't catch it.

Now, it's 8 years later and the doctor found cysts on my ovaries and my cycles are very long. She never mentioned any other symptoms and said my bloodwork was normal, but told me I have PCOS. Does this make sense? Should I be seeing a different doctor?

The doctor didn't mention that the hair could be related to the cysts
