Default Please Help ME!!!!

Hello Cysters,

It has been a while since my last post bc I have been trying to decide which route to take for ttc. I started taking glucophage xr and provera (10days) o 3/12. I would like to ovulate this cycle and see if I can get lucky and conceive ?? I recently found out that DH brother is going to be a father (#1) . And his brother keeps asking dh when are we going to start on ours. Now I feel like I want to get pregnant right away. I am asking for a better direction with the herbs.
Now I had purchased FUR and raspberry leaf extract about 4 months ago and never tried it bc I am not sure how to take them? I also have raspberry leaf tea, and vitex. Okay, I did not use the vitex bc I am taking glucophage and I heard they are somewhat similar?I heard that taking FUR cd5-9 can make you ovulate or what days do you think I should take it??

Suggestions, comments, advice....please

Thanks,
Wishing for a miracle!!!

I wish I could tell you that there was some quick fix with these herbs but it is a long term committment to go this route. It takes a great deal of patience. Vitex is not the same as Gluc. and there are many women who take both together with good success. Vitex is a cumulative herb and needs to be taken for 3-12 months before results are seen (depending on the severity of the hormone problem) It is taken by most women throughout the cycle although some choose to use it only pre o.
I have not heard of using False Unicorn root for just days 5-9 but have heard of using it throughout the cycle to help tone the reproductive system. Shana Albo in her book Infertility Solutions recommends it from day 7 to AF (this is for PCOS)
I would not take these things if you are still choosing provera as that is counterproductive to herbs which are trying to balance your hormones.
The Raspberry leaf is highly nutritious for your entire body and works on your repro system in particular.
Some of the women in recent posts have discussed soem herbal combo formulas that they have used. That may be an option for you to get a good balance of herbs. Usually herbal combos for women contain herbs for the liver (very important for PCOS) such as milk thistle, burdock root, dandelion root, oregon grape root, herbs for the repro system like false Unicorn root, dong quai, herbs for balance hormones, vitex, black cohosh, dong quai, and general body tonics like raspberry leaf, nettle,. Some contain herbal stress reducers etc. This is just a small list of herbs you may find in a combo. If the combo does not contain vitex then I would take vitex as well. A friend of mine told me about a combo called Female Harmony available through crystalstar.net/
There are others available at your local health food store as well.
Remember herbs are about deep healing not only conception and you have to be willing to be in it for the time it takes to achieve that. I wish you the best on whatever choices you make.
Please ask more questions if you still need help.
Sheri
