Question PLEASE HELP ME! I have a couple of questions!!!!

I dont have a lot of thinning hair, but I have noticed some breakage in the front. I dont know if in the future I will have hair loss and would like to take PREVENTATIVE MEASURES now....

Is saw palmetto good for this (is there any interaction between it and any other herbs/drugs?)

What else would be good for me? Thank you SO MUCH IN ADVANCE for any help you might be able to give.

Annette

Hair breakage sounds like it could be harsh heat or styling products? or do you color or perm your hair?

Any hair you see is dead, so something outside the body must be causing its breakage. If it's not thinning, I don't think an anti-androgen like saw palmetto would help you.

Default Hi there!

Thanks for answering my post!!! Well, I have done the same thing (dyed etc.) to my hair now for 15 years....since I was 16 years old!!! I have ALWAYS had....EXTREMELY thick hair...no breakage ever, even with dying. (I have to use FOUR bottles of dye to actually dye it all!)

Anyway, I have noticed it THINNING a bit. Not a lot, but I can just tell, you know? Its just how you know your own hair.

That along with breakage in the front had me worried.

Saw Palmetto cant HURT can it?? Are there any interactions or side effects from it? Is this the only thing you use it for?

Thanks again!
Annette

I agree with harsh dies causing breakage. As for the hair loss. I have always had thick, naturally curly hair that people just loved. Recently I started noticing that my hair was getting thinner. I freaked out and called my hair stylist. He recommended Rogain made by Paul Mitchell. It has worked. Not only has my hair stopped falling out but most of it has grown back. Only the Rogain made by Paul Mitchell has a money back guarantee. I figured what do I have to lose? And it worked.

I'm not sure if there's a difference. I just know that the Paul Mitchell is Guaranteed, and is made by paul mitchell so it's better for your hair, I'm a devout Mitchell girl
