Please help! Propecia for hirsutism?

My endocrinoligist prescribed me Propecia for my excess hair problem, and sensitivity to androgens. Why do I think there's something wrong with this?! I'm not losing my hair (there was never any sign that I was/am/might), and from what I've read it's meant for balding men!

Does anyone(without hair loss problems) have experience with Propecia?

I have a hair loss problem but I also have a beard... my doctor prescribed me proscar (which is procepia but 5mg of it) saying that it will help with the facial hair growth.

I've stopped it after about 2 weeks because my hair was falling out a bit more my moods were uncontrolable. seems to me that androgene blockers aren't good for me. I go into some sort of depression with them.

I'm glad I stopped before anything bad started to happen. I just know something is wrong with this. Why does a doctor give experimental medication instead of something safe...
