So, I had a lap & dye this week - and it was good news. They drained and removed a large cyst, but tubes were fine...so really relieved.
One thing that has made me so freaked out, is that since...I have gained 4lbs. I know this isn't a big deal in the 'larger scheme' of things...but I've been working hard at the gym (and now can't go for two weeks), taking my Met religiously and trying to make healthier choices (except for today...it's Easter, right?!) and the operation somehow made me gain weight??
Does anyone know what this could be, or has found similar?? Or should I be posting this elsewhere.
Just so confused and a bit demotivated to have my weight sent back to square one. All that I lost with met back on...
When I had my lap my tummy bloated up big time. But it was because of the gas they pump into your belly so they can look around with the camera.
I cant remember how long it took for my belly to return to normal but it was a few weeks.
I agree your weight gain is gas that they pump into your tummy, plus u will be sore for a while so not as active, so considering easter etc and the fact u had a lap I wouldn't worry about 4lbs, it will melt away soon.
Best of luck, and great to hear your tubes are clear.
4lbs is worth it for your health. Plus, i'm sure its just from the operation gases and the swelling and bloating that i'm sure you have. Glad everything worked out for you =]
Thank you so much, ladies - I am so relieved at the outcome of the procedure...but think I was a little over emotional about it all, so was freaking out about anything and everything.
Can anyone let me know when you started back exercising after having it done? My consultant said when my stomach felt it could take it?! But I don't quite know what that means...Any advice much appreciated.
Seeing as I have largely been eating Easter eggs, I could do with it being in about a week ;-)
** I tried to give everyone Easter Eggs as gifts, but didn't have enough points to get past two. So virtual Lindt rabbits all round ;-)
I cant remember how long it took me. I know I was off work for 2 weeks. After that I was starting to feel normal again. I think its something that effects everyone differently.
Just take it easy is my only advice. You'll know when you are ready just listen to your body.
I started by taking long walks. I had problems walking round town without help so figured that was a good place to start, but not on my own. When I could do that and put my own socks on I was so happy :o)
